Oval Amethyst Ring · Natural Stone

A single oval-cut amethyst on a fine band, claw-set and sitting close to the finger. Made in solid 925 sterling silver with 18ct gold plating. The stone is natural amethyst — a purple quartz, mined rather than lab-created, so colour and depth vary slightly from piece to piece.

About the stone: Amethyst is softer than moissanite and its colour can fade with long exposure to direct sunlight. Keep it out of a sunny window when you’re not wearing it, and take the ring off for washing up and cleaning.

About the plating: This is gold-plated sterling silver, not solid gold. Plating wears with daily contact, most noticeably on the underside of the band. The ring can be re-plated by a jeweller.
